After many years of working with Vektus, Hospidana chose to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud in January 2025. A solution without customizations, delivered on time and within budget.
When digital accounting became a legal requirement, it became clear to Hospidana that it was time to upgrade their NAV 2009 solution. The choice fell naturally on Business Central Cloud – and on Vektus as a partner.
“We’ve been taking steps for several years,” says Michael Aalborg, Plant Manager at Hospidana. “But it’s been difficult to see the economics of it – and previously there was a lack of functionality in Business Central Cloud, which fortunately has now been developed.”
Hospidana is owned by Swedish Mediplast AB, which itself switched to Business Central Cloud four years ago. This meant that there was plenty of experience to draw on internally. This, together with Vektus as the professional sparring partner, ensured a smooth and secure project process.
“We had the experience of our parent company behind us – but it still required a professional partner. Vektus has been crucial here,” says Michael Aalborg.
Two consultants from Vektus – one with many years of experience with Hospidana and one newer – made up the primary team. The collaboration was characterized by high professionalism, open communication and clear agreements.
A key element in the success of the project has been Vektus’ ability to listen and find the right solutions – quickly and efficiently. All tasks were solved in close dialog with the consultants, and the task and solution options were always considered – and agreed upon – before it was initiated.
“It was crucial for us to listen and discuss before we started working on the solution. Vektus doesn’t spend unnecessary hours – they ensure we’re working towards the right goal from the start, which means fewer wasted hours and a better result.”
Michael also emphasizes that Vektus has been honest and clear in their communication – both about what was possible and what was not. And if something wasn’t possible, a realistic alternative was always presented.

The transition to Business Central Cloud was completed on time and on budget. This was despite some initial challenges around project organization and lack of clarity on decision-making competencies, which were quickly resolved.
There were also internal doubts about the need and value of project management, as the direct communication with the consultants worked SO well.
“We had very good direct contact with the consultants, and the tasks were followed up on a regular basis – so we didn’t feel that we needed the project manager role on a daily basis. We handled the communication ourselves. But the bottom line is that it’s impossible to say whether the project would have had the same structure and overview without a project manager. Or whether other organizations need it more.”
Hospidana is now running on a standard Business Central Cloud solution without customizations, but with powerful apps such as Document Capture and Power BI. Employees have also welcomed the new system.
“Of course, there are new workflows that we have to get used to – but we get ongoing help from Vektus, which ensures that we get off to a good start. We are in safe hands.”
The next phase of digitalization is already underway: Tasklet Factory. Hopefully it will again be with Vektus at the helm.
“We are completely confident. It’s going to be exciting – and we’re sure Vektus will help us get there safely.”
