Service in Business Central
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central helps companies consolidate service orders, service agreements, resources, spare parts, consumption, invoicing, and financials into a single, integrated ERP solution.
With the Service module in Business Central, you’ll gain a better overview of service tasks, customers, agreements, service history, spare parts, resources, and financial tracking. This makes it easier to manage the service process on an ongoing basis—from the initial customer inquiry to completed work, invoicing, and follow-up.
Business Central is not strictly a field service system, but rather an ERP solution in which service, inventory, purchasing, sales, and finance are integrated into a single system. This provides a strong foundation for companies seeking better management of service tasks and the associated financial aspects.
If you need more advanced field service management with a mobile technician solution, detailed scheduling, work orders, bookings, inspections, and management of field staff, Microsoft also offers the standalone solution Dynamics 365 Field Service. However, it is a standalone system.
At Vektus, we help you assess whether the service functionality in Business Central is sufficient, or whether you need integration with apps, vendor-independent solutions, or a dedicated field service system.
