The project has, like most Vektus projects, been managed by an experienced project manager – who has made sure to hold the necessary status meetings.
Mads Wiggers Birkelund explains:
“I was initially skeptical about the need for project management, but I must honestly admit that our regular status meetings with Vektus have been a great benefit. They have ensured progress and overview – and have helped keep the project on track. I wouldn’t have done without them.”
Most ERP projects are complex and can involve many business areas, stakeholders, challenges with historical data and ingrained workflows. It’s therefore not uncommon for ERP projects to encounter some challenges.
“As with all new ERP systems, there have been bumps and challenges along the way – including with our own data. We had some challenges with our historical data, which could not simply be transferred automatically. This was not Vektus’ fault, but challenges we had created and brought with us from the old days.
Our employees also had to get used to something new, but after a couple of months, the new system has become part of everyday life and the benefits are clear to everyone.”
